Question about going over protein for the day

I noticed that on my daily food log that I went over my protein. Is this bad? I didn't think going over protein would make you gain weight, but I wasn't sure. I still stayed under my calories, carbs and fat.

    I TRY and go over my protein and fiber intake daily! I don't think it's bad, or at least it's better than going over fat, sodium, etc..

    It is not neccesarily "bad" in terms of weight gain. If you are very physically active, a little extra won't hurt. What CAN be a problem is going WAY over, consistently, as too much protein is hard on your kidneys.
