when i use the treadmill, i go on a "walk/run setting".
for 30 minutes I do 3.0 mph for one minute, followed by thirty second intervals at 6.5.
then i do another 30 minutes at 2.5 / 5.5 mph.
i don't know how accurate it is, but according to the machine my heart rate fluctuates between 170-130.
how would i record this on MFP? use an average speed? or enter it in manually? how do you even calculate calories expended?
sorry, total newbie here, just started running for the first time in my life. thanks in advance!

Buy a heart rate monitor.0

I do the same, I just enter it as walking/jogging/walking uphill if on an incline, add up all the little intervals and work out a total amount of minutes at each speed and enter it all seperately. ie. 10mins walking 3.5mph, 10 mins jogging 6mph etc...0

I would find the average speed for the total time and use that. How many miles do you usually finish in that hour time frame?0
