This is my 1st time trying to lost the baby weight that I gained after having 2 kids. I'm new to the whole "working out" bit, but I'm going to try to hit this pretty hard. I'm not 30 yet, but I feel way older thanks to my extra baggage. I hope this works and if it does...thank you my favorite sister in law.

I too am trying to lose baby weight. I am so out of shape that working out seemed impossible. I was looking for a program that would allow me to build energy a little at a time without paying for a gym. If you have a Netflix account, the 10 Minute Solution videos are pretty good. I am up to two 10 minute sessions every other day. You will burn 40 calories for each 10 minute session. Hope you are encouraged!

    Hey, Jen!
You have a ready-made exercise system: Your two children! ;)
    - As you lift them in the air and swing them around you are working muscle sets--record their weight and the number of times (and the amount of time) you lifted them.
    - As you chase them around the house in a game of Tag or Catch-Me-Tickle-Me, have your pedometer on hand (you might have one if you have a cell phone).
I accrued 2.5 miles of speed-walking while chasing my 5yo grandson today. Plus, they really should have a way of measuring continuous laughter--we did a lot of it.
Welcome to this site. You will have lots of support from these good people. They have helped me. And have fun with your sweet children.

Welcome! I, too, put on the weight after having my two kids. I'm turning 30 this year and so in January I decided it was time to get myself back on the right track with healthy eating and exercise. I have been using MFP to help me stay focused and on track. It's working! I'm not in a rush to lose the weight and have been happy with my results so far. I think you'll love using MFP. Just stay focused, log your meals and water intake, and you'll be on your way to a healthier you! Good Luck!
