weight is like a yo yo

hi. I have been following this plan for about two weeks. after seeing no difference in my weight for a week and a half, finally saw about 4-5 lbs drop. then suddenly this morning the scale showed an almost 3 lb gain. why does that happen?

    Hard to tell without seeing your diary. I know sodium really does a number on me and even with pretty clean eating weight changes. Gained 2 lbs and then lost 4 lbs. Happens. Its a long journey and each day is a new choice. I am not a fast loser, average 1 lb a week, but I just commit daily to logging my food and now I am even exercising!

    I have some wonderful buddies here on MFP who are dedicated and serious about getting healthy. Great support group.

    Beef up your profile and people will respond more. They see oh she/he is at the same weight as me, eats like me, etc things in common and they will want to friend you.

    Hang in there and keep on logging. Use this site. Have you seen a pound of fat? Its huge! It takes the body a while to adjust. Be patient with yourself.

    I want to change the choices I make daily and become more healthy. Its going to take me a long time to get to where I want to be, but I didn't get this fat and sedentary in a couple months.... took me years! So its going to take me months to get to where I want to be. Along the way I will be changing how I eat and move so when i do reach my goal it will be a breeze keeping it.

    Just commit to today. That's all it takes.

    Thanks for the encouraging words. I am still new to the site so don't know about many of its features.
