Backpack gym bag with shoe pocket - does it exist?

Hey all,

I'm looking for a backpack style gym bag that has a separate shoe pocket - can anyone recommend one? I'm a member at Lifetime and that is the only one I've seen and its $80. As a teacher, that's a bit pricey.

Anyone know of one?

Look at bags designed for swimmers (or triathletes). They are typically designed with multiple pockets - I use a side pocket on a Nike swim bag for my shoes.

Not backpack style but I LOVE this bag, the shoe pocket even fits my big clunky running shoes and dirty clothes after workout, and it's vented to keep from smelling too bad haha, and so everything can dry out. i use a clean grocery bag to wrap my shoes in. keeps them separated from my other stuff.

I just put my sneakers into one of those small reusable shopping bags (mine is from Lulu Lemon) and it fits my shoes perfectly and keeps them off all my other stuff in my bag.

I use my old laptop backpack made by Samsonite. It's designed to hold a 17" laptop. All the dividers and pockets work well for carrying other stuff as well (iPod, HRM, swim goggles...). My gym shoes (a pair of Size 16 Vans) fit nicely in the computer pocket. I picked it up cheap at Newegg.com a while back.

Those workplay bags are amazing! I'm sure shipping costs would be bad... I found another bag I really like, but it's even more expensive and its a mma bag. I have really severe scoliosis, so it's important that I find a backpack style...I'm pretty anal retentive about my gym bag. Lol!!

Your gym shoes should be clean - if the are not, the have no place on a treadmill or the weight area or the exercise mat.

I have a Kobe Bryant Nike backpack that has a separate shoe compartment with a smell barrier, I keep my olympic lifting shoes n there permanently. It has other compartments for drinks etc. I think its pretty good for what you need

What is this "as a teacher" statement. Teachers by and larger make much more that the average wage.
