Hello! I guess I'm turning my life around

Hi there, I'm Casey. I'm 28, live in LA and am looking forward to changing my bad habits into good ones! This site was referred to me via the p90x forums, which is a program I plan to start next week along with a totally revamped, planned, clean diet! I've never really been into focused rigorous exercise. At most I've mountain biked a lot and heavy labor for years. But that's all changed and my metabolism left me at 26. Since I work in front of computer screens all day, it's time to get back what I miss: Energy, abs and health! I can't wait to start feeling the changes. I hope to stay motivated and contribute to this awesome site as much as I can. I love to cook so sharing healthy recipies will probably be one of my main contributions.
Best of luck to everyone out there!

This site makes everything so easy. I find that if I have to write it all down, I'm less likely to eat without thinking. Good luck to you.0

This site is fantastic. MFP and the Beachbody forums help me stay focused, hold me accountable, and let me know I'm not on this journey alone!0

Yes, me and planning/organizing never mesh well.. I've been spontaneous my entire life, and always lived thinking 15 minutes ahead. I supposed some call that immaturity! My point is it's great to have this site to help me keep things organized so I don't get lost or off track, especially since this is my first time dealing with anything like this, and I'm about to jump head first into a serious 13 week program.. All these health acronyms and terminology keep me focused, though, since I'm a computer nerd.. makes it more technical for me, which I find fun. I'm also working from home, so I can take the needed breaks to eat properly and exercise as much as I need to. I just hope I can keep mindful of budgeting the food.. I've already spent too much on equipment, supplements, etc... but I know food pretty well so I think I can be conscious of what I'm spending. Eating clean shouldn't have to break the bank. I will miss eating out in Los Angeles, such amazing cuisine out here.. But I am looking forward to creating my own healthier variations of some of my favorite dishes I've come to experience since I've moved here.
This is all very exciting!! I hope I feel this way halfway into the program.. or two weeks, even. I'm going to be one sore, whiny boy!
Thanks guys! Look forward to keeping in touch throughout the process.. As you can tell I love to type..0
