thank you! I will definitely take suggestions so I can size these up and see what is best for me...especially with my dwindling budget.I have an older version of this Omron pedometer.

It works great at counting steps, calculating distance walked and calculating an estimated calories I burned while taking those steps. It will also show a separate count of "aerobic" steps (at least 60 steps per minute for at least 10 minutes straight).
It is a great little tool but it does not link to MFP and does not have the sleep sensor thing that the $100 Fitbit One has. But for less than $25 it is a great gadget, one that I've relied on every day the past month.0 -
I will ask my doctor about that. She may not agree to it because she wants me seated doing low impact stuff. Because, my ankle recently started bleeding inside and it created the biggest lump and bruise ever (can happen with blood thinners). I was not able to walk on it for weeks and now have home health people. I will just have to explain to her the situation and see what she says.
Whoa, dude. Yeah, please check with your doc before doing anything!! So sorry for what you're dealing with!
I found this set of seated exercises, if you're ok for it... They're written for an audience of older people, but I think the movements might be suitable (maybe??). Link opens a pdf:

Here's that Leslie Sansone, if you wanted to preview:

(I would guess though that gentle cycling/walking might be better for you at this stage than Zumba, for sure.)0 -
Thank you so much. I really appreciate the links as well. I am off to check them out now. any little bit helps. I must admit some of you amazing people in this thread have really talked me down off of a ledge. I guess sitting in the house has made me all restless and impatient. But it is ok, and I know now that I can get this all figured out soon enough.I will ask my doctor about that. She may not agree to it because she wants me seated doing low impact stuff. You can do this, absolutely!
And, sorry about the pamphlet being so, well, gentle, but, you need some gentleness right now. That's totally ok
