Hello friends, this is just a quick question im hoping you guys/gals may be able to help me with. Due to my schedulre i only get to workout during my lunch hour. I usually get in a workout anywhere between 45-55 minutes. I do this 4-5 times a week. My question to you is, is this enough time to get a decent workout in. Keep in mind when i go to the gym i dont stop and people watch or waste time i go from workout to workout, from set to set. Is 45 minutes burning about 350-450 calories 4-5 times a week a good workout routine/schedule or should i be working out more? Thanks in advance guys.

What works for me is 45 minutes of cardio, and 15 minutes of weight lifting. I lose a big chunk of weight this summer working out this week.

Hard to say because it depends entirely upon what you're doing while in the gym. If you're doing a good routine consisting of heavy (for you) compound movements, 30 minutes three times a week could be more than enough. If you're screwing around doing one-legged bosu ball triceps kickbacks and supine Transylvanian preacher dumbbell curls with a 37-degree pronation 19 degrees into the movement, you could waste 10 hours a day in the gym 6 days a week and still get minimal (if any) results.

@Anvill Thats the thing when i go to the gym its not to socialize its simply to get SECKSY!!! LOL, but no really i dont screw around i go in there and do the excersize that i need to do and them im done. I just wanted to make sure that i wasnt kidding myself by only working out for about 45-55 mins.

I try to aim for 45-60 minutes of cardio and 45 minutes of lifting but at the moment Im hitting 30 minutes of cardio thanks to a leg injury
