    BAHAHAHA I love that!!! So. true. If you want the cookie, eat it!! No good denying yourself everything. Personally, denying myself just makes me binge later. I'm better off eating the treat and adjusting my day's eating accordingly. Or exercise extra.

    I had a butter tart* today - totally deserved it, well within my caloric intake. I'm not going to lie - it was freakin' awesome. Nice big cup of coffee and this butter tart. I got it from this bakery run by Mennonites, I haven't been in there for months. God it was good. I think I might make it my cold winter Monday morning consultation prize ritual. I enjoyed every guilt free bite.

    In fact, it was so good that I'm going to write a haiku about it, extolling its virtues!

    *butter tarts are an Eastern Canadian thing - it is a tart, made with butter (duh) and brown sugar, maybe maple syrup or something and I don't know what else, but it is the best pastry ever....EVER!
