I struggle with this because I live in Thailand and have spent time in Laos and Singapore. I just try to find things as similar as possible and you might be surprised at what comes up if you type in the name of the dish.
I often just type in "Thai food" and hope for the best that something will come up.0 -
AND my favourite Malaysian food is mee goreng but it's a noodle dish so I'd assume it's high in calories.
Maybe this will be helpful to you: http://diet-karene500.blogspot.com/0 -
Oh my friend Narcissa told me about mee goreng!! It's going to be hard!! lol0

Never eaten it and have no idea, but let us know how it was.0

Filipino food is mostly protein. There are few dishes with noodles in it.Mostly everything is meat(fish or pork)not much beef and a lot of seafood.
What did you have in mind?Or are you leaning towards some dishes in particular?0 -
I'm not too sure about Malaysian food, but for Filipino food my favorite is Sinigang na baboy (pork in a tamarind broth with lots of veggies). saving calories you could also ask for no rice. Mfp has a ton of Filipino food in the database0

Good choices!!All yummy!!0 -
I LOVE Filipino food!!! I usually eat what you ate, the adobo chicken flakes, the Pancit Bihon, and I also love the green papaya salad, yummy and healthy. I eat all this, plus a little of the rice, and the calories are usually around 700, which is not bad for eating out! I just make sure I do my Zumba that day, lol.0

I'm half filipino but if I ate it all the time I am sure I'd be as big as a house. Especially with the portions I usually get at restaurants. Enough longanisa on my plate for a whole province!
Last time I went to the philippines to visit my mom's family..I gained 10 FREAKING LBS. In just two weeks. They were always feeding me.
When I got up breakfast...then some snack before the mid morning snack..then lunch..then more stuff to eat and even more...
dinner..more snacks...
But it sure is good.
I miss Pancit. I stil have memories of my mom dipping pandesal in coffee.
Too bad I am cutting my carbs ...0
