It's sort of normal. Read up on DOMS -- delayed onset muscle soreness. A bit of pain is fine and you can just press on. I tend to think that if it's so bad I can't move, the workout was a bit hard for me and I look for something lighter. People who swear by 30DS say 'just carry on, it gets better in a few days'. How heavy are your weights? You might want to just use cans of beans or 500ml water bottles the first time through, and then repeat with something heavier.0

I am struggling with getting off the ground with this workout as well as I find it gives me shin splints and have had to take days off I did day 1 & 2 back to back and day 2 I was in pain like my legs wanted to fold beneath me anytime I attempted any of the cardio moves and especially the butt kicks. I was doing insanity for two weeks full out no problems before this and was shocked. I at this point am pretty sure it is from the lunges as shin splints can come from weak calf muscles. I took two days off did day 3&4, which was much less painful and I could push through the workouts. I took three days off just because of plans that had me out and about all day with my kids but had plenty of activity those days. Did day 5 yesterday, no pain today. I made sure not to go as deep in my squats since that day two workout and I really think, for me atleast, that was what was hurting me. Not the impact/landing like is common but the stretching and strain on my muscles during lunges. I will be doing day 6 here in a little bit. If you have to take rest days when you feel injury coming on do so but as soon as you feel capable to push through get back on track.0
