I have and they're yummy. Kind of high in sugar but perfect for a treat for a sweet tooth craving.0
-
I love the super simple ingredient list. They are high in sugar yes, but due to the fruit content (whole ingredients).
But they're great for an energy boost, or as langsyne said above satisfying a sweet tooth.
Most are gluten free and some are even vegan. I love the coconut pie and lemon bars. Yummy!0 -
They are super awesome because there are only a few wholesome ingredients and no added sugars at all. No preservatives and they taste like GOLD. i love them0
-
I just ate my first one today, and I loved it! I definitely need to find more foods like these!0
-
I'm a huge fan for the reasons above, and for those who are gluten free, these are the ticket.
Last week I was having a candy bar craving and the Larabar was my savior. I don't eat them daily, but have them handy. My fav so far is a nut and cranberry one. Yum!0 -
Tasty. They use high quality chocolate. I love the cookie dough ones. They are super high cal for the three or four bites they end up being. Good for kicking low blood sugar when you have about 45 seconds to eat.0
-
Where do you get them? Walmart? Amazon? I would like to try them. Especially if they are gluten free!0
-
I only buy them on sale and then I buy a couple of boxes.0

Just recently picked up a box at Costco, three flavors & all GF. They are high in sugar as stated, but it is from dates and fruit not added and with the fat and protein content (approx 6 grams of each) they really don't give you that sugar hit feeling or crash afterwards. I have started keeping a couple in my handbag for when I'm out and about and don't have any other options. IMO they also taste considerably better than most bars.0

They look delicious, and I love the short ingredient lists, but I find them to be too many calories for their size.0
-
I bought mine in our Hy-Vee's healthy section. Otherwise, I hear Trader Joe's has them as well! If you have any grocery store in your area that has a healthy section, I would bet they'd have them! They were on sale for $4 for 5 bars. Next time I'll probably buy boxes of them, though!0

i like.0

My go-to for quick snacks when they are on sale. I love the short ingredient list and still amazed at the flavor. I love the coconut cream pie one, doesn't taste like dates at all!0

I thought they seemed to have a lot of calories, too, but they seem to be very filling and they're great for days where I'm eating a lot of fruits and veggies and it's hard to reach my 1200+ calorie goal.0 -
agreed. SUCH a great sweet-tooth option that's also filling & whatnot...
when you go on their website and click on the ingredient list for each bar, the ingredients are all foods you will RECOGNIZE. vanilla, almonds, dates, fruit, etc. They even show pictures of each ingredient.
**The cappuccino one is AWESOME! (& it's actually caffeinated... it's become by fav. 4pm snack!)0 -
I tried one and didn't like it. It was some banana one I think. I prefer Luna bars to Larabars... But that's just me! :-)0
-
I love their texture.
The cashew cookie one is my fav.0 -
Larabars = YUMMY and healthy0

I bought a few and then, in reaction to their price.. decided to make my own. They're delicious!
I have had a lot of success with the recipes on this site:

But there are lots of recipes out there. I recommend it.. saves mon-ay and you can customize to your liking.0 -
Love them! Lemon and coconut cream pie are so delicious. I just wish they had more protein0
-
I just started eating these on the suggestion of a trainer at my ski club. They are delicious - I bought a box of 16 at the local drug store (Apple flavored) for about $32. I also tried a chocolate flavor but I like the apple one better.
My virtual nutritionist/trainer told me not to have them 2 days in a row though so I alternate them on days with a protein shake. I really like them and I don't mind the price. My husband and I used to eat Kachi bars or Nutrigrain bars and I don't think they were very good for us.
The only thing I'm skeptical of is that maybe I should be eating a protein bar instead. There is really not much protein in them.0 -
Chocolate Covered Katie has recipes listed to make your own... http://chocolatecoveredkatie.com/chocolate-covered-recipes/fudge-baby-mania/
I like making them as the 'fudge babies' and then they're bite sized and a much lower calorie quick snack. I keep them in the freezer!
I've never actually had a real Lara Bar so no idea how they compare ~ but these are pretty darn good IMHO!0 -

I'm going to have to try these! I bought Larabars on sale yesterday, but it sounds like they're not always on the cheap side. thanks for posting this link!0 -
I bought the pack at Costco and I love them! The 3 pack has Cherry pie, apple pie and peanut butter. My favorite is the cherry.
I have yet to try any other flavors b/c they are expensive.
But I keep these in my car, if I'm on the go and don't want to stop at a fast food place or grab a snack in the checkout line, I know I have a healthy snack that will fill me up till my next meal.
They also help if I have a craving for a candy bar or other sweets. Usually I go for a piece of fruit but sometimes it's more than just flavor, it's the chewy texture that helps curb that craving!
Target has them individually for sale, that's where I plan to try other flavors and then I'll probably buy in bulk from Amazon - love my Prime!!!0 -

There may not be much protein in them, but I just love the fact that they're made from real food!0 -

Yup! I've made a few batches so far in my food processor. It's very easy. I started at first with medjool dates but they were too expensive in the long run so I ended up using prunes as a binder. The first time around I did one kind of nut (ie, only cashews, dates, plus something else) but this time I did a nut mixture (almonds, walnuts, cashews, etc) and had equally yummy results.
My favorite flavor so far has been lemon/cranberry.0 -
I love them, they are so delicious, but I make my own. So easy to make and a lot cheaper too!0
