lupus + exercise...

Hi there,
I'm sure there will be someone out there who can help. I have a very rare health condition that mimics lupus. On days that are good, I am able to exercise as much as the next person. i can run, do weights etc. However, when I feel flareups coming, or when my bones are angry with me, I am scared to push it as I do not want to trigger anything off.
What can I do on those days? It has often happened that I have built up my fitness to quite a significant level (running 13km in one go) and then I get a flare up, lose it all and have to start again. There are a limited amount of times I can do that before I stop bothering to begin with as I know that it wont be very long until I have to stop.
Can anyone reccomend anything I can do on my "off days"? or do any of you suffer from similar conditions and have found an answer?
thanks,
Rachel

I have lupus as well and the first time I lost 100 pounds I did water aerobics a lot. If you have the option of working out in the water it really helps in not adding the extra pressure to your joints.0
