Going to UK for a month need help with Celiac family

We are going to be in Belfast, N. Ireland in June. We're staying with my aunt for the month, and she's completely freaking out about food and snacks that she should get for our arrival. Anybody, know of any gluten free products/snacks that she can have on hand for us. We will probably be too jet lagged to get to the store to find things. PS NO NUT products my husband and daughter are also allergic to peanuts and tree nuts.

Thanks for the help.

She just needs to go to her local supermarket and look in the 'free from' or allergy section. There should be lots of options available.

Hi, most of the supermarkets here do a fairly good range of gluten/wheat/dairy free products and nearly all products confirm if they contain nuts or not. The Sainsbury's range is called Free-From and contains a whole range of products. I do live in London so Belfast stores may be different but the UK is pretty good for gluten free products these days.

Perhaps look on a supermarket website http://www.sainsburys.co.uk/sol/index.jsp http://www.asda.com/ http://www.tesco.com/ you could find the closest to your Aunt's house and then search their products and send her a list in advance? She could even order online and have them delivered...! Enjoy your trip
