Friend looking for homemade taco seasoning

Anyone have any fabulous spice combinations that they use when making tacos rather than the pre-packaged mix that is full of salt? She is making them for dinner tonight, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Here is my recipe:

Taco Seasoning Yield enough to season 1 pound of ground meat

    1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
    1 tablespoon chili powder
    1 teaspoon cumin
    1 teaspoon coriander
    1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon kosher salt (or 1/2 teaspoon table salt)
    1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, or less to taste
    1/2 teaspoon paprika

I find if after you brown and drain the meat of choice you can add 1/4 cup of chopped jalepenos, 1/4 cup of diced green or red pepper, 1/4 cup of minced onion, 2 tblsp of garlic, 1/4 cup of fresh chopped cilantro and 2 cups of diced tomatoes and a teaspoon of tabasco sauce. Add together in pan with meat and heat thoroughly. I turn heat on low and cover pot and let stew for about 15 minutes. You can drain any excess liquid off after it is cooked. Spoon into taco shells or burrito and top with fat free cheese and Clints Texas salsa or toppings of choice.

For each pound of meat (ground turkey, ground beef, chicken...whatever), I use:

    1 TBSP paprika
    1 tsp chili powder
    1 tsp minced onion
    1 tsp garlic powder
    1 tsp ground cumin

It's easy, tasty, and not too spicy :)

Have you tried Wildtree Products? They are all natural, MSG free, low sodium (60MG sodium). I love their stuff... I can make virtually calorie free, sugar free spaghetti sauce too :)

I have never heard of Wildtree Products. Where can you get them? I try to eat clean and have come a full 180 from where I was a year ago with clean eating. I definately have my off days.

I usually add garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, oregano, parsley, cumin (if I have it on hand). Depending on how much I'm seasoning, I'll just keep adding a little of each until it tastes good.
