Inappropriate 50 Shades of Grey conversations

I was working with our gym's stretch trainer on Friday, and in the middle of him yanking my feet in the air and jamming his knees into my lower back as part of our normal "fun" routine, he asks me if I've read 50 Shades of Grey. Laughing uncomfortably while on a a human rack is not fun! Apparently, he's had several ladies ask him about the book while he works on them. Something about his stretches apparently remind his clients of the book. Always good stuff in my gym!

Anyone else have any uncomfortable 50 Shades references or weird gym topics?

Well, a girl in my class was asking about the book.
"she was like everyone is saying it's so great" .. " is it a motivational book"

i said," what have you hurd about the book?" She was like ,"only that it was good"

then i proceed to tell her that it's a bdsm book..then explaining to her about bdsm and then i told her that the only thing that that book might be motivating you to do is have sex.

you should have seen her face!

My husband thought it was a biography.

You know, of a man who was older and therefore grey?

I love the books, but the last time I checked this was a fitness website.

Yeah, and this conversation with a trainer at his gym happened where exactly?

One of my gym buddies uses a neck exerciser made of chains and leather, I stop and snicker every time he wears it! lol!

I had a (female, and typically rather reserved) boss ask me whether I had read it. When I said no, she offered to loan it to me, and giggled.

I don't love the books. And yes, read my post, then note the subject of this message board.

You're certainly welcome not to read this thread.

My uptight boss loved these books. If it's someone's idea of a great fantasy I think they must have a really boring sex life.

I said c*nt the other day, and I thought she was going to cry. She even stuck her fingers in her ears. Yet she can talk about how Christian dominated Ana in detail...lol

I find any 50 Shades of Gray conversation uncomfortable because I thought they were horrible! I am a librarian and elderly ladies ask me about it all the time....saying they heard aboutit on Oprah or something and want to order them but have no idea what they are about.

I have a few friends who post things on Facebook about the books...I think it weirds me out because I know their mothers can see it lol. Plus, I really don't need to hear about how badly anybody wants a red room.......

If you liked those books, I know at least 15 on top. Of my head that are a 1000 times better.

Because I can and everyone has a right to say what they want. And like I said, I love the books, so I don't know why some of you are being so rude.

My gym has a TRX thingy with straps hanging down, and whenever I'm there I think, I should learn how to do exercises on that thing, and then I could exercise at home. Since I have a suspension point. In my "dungeon".

Took my friend about 6 months of pestering me before I read it, and I thought it was entertaining. However, I just saw 50 Shades the Musical!, which is a like an upright citizen's brigade style comedy making fun of the book. Definitely one of the raunchiest, and funniest things that I've ever seen. I am looking forward to the movie, however I have no desire to watch it in a theater with people my parents' age. Just have to wait for the internet...

Having my son's babysitter go on and on about it on FB...Then the story about a little old lady who told her it was awesome. Just awkward, lol.

Gotta be honest, I thought they were just OK. Kind of redundant and boring.
