It wasn't completely banned, just during family hours. They don't show very many VS commercials if any during family hours. There is nothing wrong with it, but its a little racy for younger kids.

maybe a little racey for earlier hours but it shocks me what they show when children are awake and this commercial is tame compaired to some of the shows I've seen aired as early as 8:00pm.

    She is very beautiful.

The official reason as I understood it from the model in a radio interview I heard was that it was because it "implies sex."

The commercial wasn't actually banned, but a couple of networks refused to air it. After significant outrage and news coverage, they agreed to show it after 9. I've gotta say - i'm not pleased with that decision. Since all those viagra and cialis and enzyte commercials come on literally ALL DAY. And if mentioning a four hour erection and all of the visuals in those commercials don't imply sex, then I don't know what does.

The other complaint was that there is too much cleavage in this commercial. I don't care for that argument either. VS models show butt crack all over the place. The only reason there is more cleavage in this commercial is because the woman isn't build like a 12 year old boy.

Your kidding me? That was banned? Jeeze. Like someone else said, all those Viagra commercials are way worse than this commercial.

They didn't want to she it before 8:pm because she (the model) was going to met a man in her undies and a coat. Not because it was a LB undie commercial

Okay, seriously. I like how they ban this but they show perfume ads which are always people UNDRESSING and crawling into bed to OBVIOUSLY do the nasty... and they'll show those during the day! I saw a really racy one (Euphoria / Calvin Klein - just what I described) at about 7 o 'clock at the gym the other day and immediately thought of THIS commercial. It's ridiculous and a bunch of lies.

hmmm Ok ,well..... What I can see the resoning for the banning is what the commercial implies. If this were on I *know* my seven year old (and probably my four yer old too) would say "why didn't she wear clothes under her coat?". I agree she is a beautiful woman but the commercial is a tad risqué for prime-time. If they just edited the part where it shows her leaving without her clothes I'd have a different feeling on it. That being said I'm disgusted every time I have the radio on and I hear a condom commercial blatantly saying sexual comments. I don't see the difference.

I don't either, dizzie!! I always see penis enlargement commercials during the day. MORE than at night... okay, yes, most kids are in school during the day...but what about those that aren't?? Ones that are home sick? Are homeschooled? Had a half day?

    My point exactly.

While this commercial really doesn't display anything that should technically need to be considered for "safe viewing hours" there are some parents who might have a problem with it. That's cool and it's totally up the networks whether or not they choose to consider that when they aren't legally obligated to.

But the fact of the matter is that this is not racier than most sitcoms and other commercials that are aired at all hours of the day, including family guy, enzyte, vs, etc. Hell, there are shows on THE FAMILY CHANNEL that have plenty of "implied" sex.

I still don't see why this commercial caught the networks eye to disapprove sooner than some of the others that are out there. I'm just completely at a loss. Even if it has to do with how much boob there is, I cannot fathom the network exec that took a slightly racey commercial and turned it down and somehow did NOT know that it would cause a weight-discrimination controversy.

Sorry. I'm in media and really bad PR choices confuse me.
  • she is a very pretty lady! i cannot believe she is PLUS SIZE!! LMAO... Tall & Busty yes..... lmao... nice flat tummy!! ehhehehe
