If you can't see yourself surviving a job that makes you miserable, the money means nothing. Been there, done that. I quit a job with a big law firm after only a year because of a similar situation. Best decision of my life.

Happiness is, for most of us, found outside of the workplace, not in it. So, the money is a big deal and should be appreciated as such....right up until its taking its toll on you outside of work. THEN its time to seriously start looking to get the heck out of there.

^^This. If you are unable to leave the work crap at the door when you walk out, and it is time to find something new. Don't quit until you do, as you may find that at your level there are not as many jobs out there (without relocating etc) and it may take time. Use the contacts that you have made in your current job to find a new one (at least the ones you trust not to go running to your current CEO and blab that you are wanting to leave  )
My hubby just went through this (and for alot less money), and he left his job of 18 years that he used to love but had grown to despise - he was miserable at work and at home. It was as simple as a phone call to a colleague at another company, just asking for info or leads. They hired him within a week, and had been dying to do so for years :drinker: . You don't know what's on the outside until you venture out.... best of luck, hon!
