I'm sorry if I sound whiny, but I'm really down right now
with NO ONE to talk to about it...
I'm battling my addiction to food. I start out great!
Then by the end of the night I need a "fix".
Carbs are my drug of choice. Usually pizza.
My life change buddy that lives down the street is completely out.
We went to the store and I didn't even see her buy the king size twix she started
powering down as soon as we got in the car.
My husband was raised on fast food so he's always(every day) wanting me to get something with him.
He's supposed to be eating healthier with me.
I feel like we're two pot heads trying to quit together...
Even better I took my "before pic" for 30 day shred.
HOLY FAT!! I thought I carried my weight well HA!
I feel so disgusted with myself.
Even better, my husband discourages me from doing any major exercise
because I have back problems from an accident a couple years ago.
*sigh
I need more will power!!!
Btw I lost 34lbs last year and gained 15 back after a family tragedy happened...
And my diary is open.
ANYONE HAD THE SAME PROBLEMS IM HAVING AND WERE ABLE TO FIGHT THROUGH IT!?

After reading some other posts I figured out I needed to raise my calories.
I think at 1200 I was setting myself up for failure. We'll see what happens...0 -
Hi crunchybubble. Sorry to hear of your struggles with the Carb monsters. I have the same addiction to pizza. Yesterday I logged in over ½ a pizza. Ugh. So I'm there with you.
If your husband is supportive that's a great help. If he's not then it makes it much harder. When I had been married, I worked out and tried to diet for everyone but myself. This is your body, your health, and your journey.
I always post something everyday to remind me and to motivate myself. Unfortunately, I'm all I have, so I'm on my journey alone. But its my journey to a beautiful me. Today's message (or quote) to myself is "strive for progress, not profection."
Yesterday's log book is yesterday's log book. Yesterday's pizza is behind me(literally) . Today Whether I reached my daily goal or not , I'm still on the the journey. Your here amongst pals. Your journey continues. Best wishes0 -
I would advise reading this thread if you havent already:

First, this is a tough journey and sometimes you are gonna 'fall off the wagon'. Easiest thing to do is say hey I ate pizza so I ruined my diet so I might as well eat more pizza, thats how we all get big again, so you need to forgive yourself and re-focus straight away. You also need to find a way to eat better, as a lifestyle, and not just as a diet and sometimes that takes small steps.
I would definately up your calories so then you might not be so hungry in the evening and it will make it easier to not snack and I would also get some healthy snacks in so when you want that pizza you can chew on a frusli bar or munch on some veggies and dip. Start experimenting with 'good' food that you don't normally eat, you'll be amazed at how many healthy foods actually taste good.
My naughty treat these days is granola, used to be chocolate...go figure!!
Second, this has gotta be about you and for you. If your hubby is not supporting you it will be tougher but you can always come on here and vent and there are plenty of people who will tell you how amazing you are and how good you look as you progress.
You lost 34LBS last year, that makes you amazing and you are back on here after only putting 15lbs back on not 40lbs, thats better than lots do.
Don't forget those achievements and don't forget just how FAB you are gonna look and feel when you hit that goal!!
Best of luck!!0 -
I'm really sorry to hear about your family tragedy :-( I'm a stress-eater and pizza-lover as well, so I understand where you're coming from. I sincerely hope you feel better and stronger soon
I find that focusing on the negative only brings me lower, and therefore increases my desire to eat my emotions and stress. I suggest focusing on the positive instead - I see that you've only gained back 15lbs of the 34 that you've lost, despite your family situation and a lack of support. So, you're still 19lbs down - that's fantastic!! I've only just reached a loss of 17lbs (8kg) and I am so proud of myself for trying so hard. 19lbs is a great achievement, and you should be proud too.0 -
Hey don't be so down on yourself. How about asking your doctor for a physical therapy referral so the professionals can tell you what exercises are safe for your back?0

Hang in there!! I am with you I start out strong and in the evening I start wanting every thing in sight to eat!!0

I am also doing 30-day shred, and I can tell you it's definitely hard to stick with! I think I made it 5 or 7 days when I first started, and I've had to work at it ever since. Currently at Day 4. If you want to be buddies, please add me! I could use an accountability partner, because I love me some carbs.0

It is a very difficult road to go down on your own. With your history of family tragedy and what sounds like lingering depression issues, as a nurse I would advise talking to your doctor about an antidepressant. Some counceling may also help you get through with a more positive outlook by helping you work through some of the issues with your family tragedy, lack of support, and feeling " alone against the world." I also agree with Cinflo58 that a physical therapy referral would be a great help for you also. They can work out an exercise plan that will strengthen your back and not cause further problems.0

First, increase in calories is definitely needed! This is your lifestyle, not a diet. Get in that mindset. When you eat the good food, you feel good - right?
Second, get some treats and leave yourself enough room cal-wise at the end of the day for them. For example, I buy dark chocolate. I probably eat chocolate at least once a day during PMS, lol, but I always account for what I want to eat. For you - maybe instead of pizza, you try a slice of kashi pizza or some flavored popcorn, then pop in some gum and drink as much water as humanly possible.
If you were eating a lot at night before, your body is just used to more food then. You'll have to retrain it a bit to get it where it needs to be. Lol, I still like snacking at night... so I ate a giant bowl of salted boiled green beans last night, no joke!0 -
I see that your breastfeeding - how old is your little one? My son is 9 months and I often want to binge after he goes to bed. What's helping now is that he has a consistent bedtime between 7 and 8, after which I pop in an aerobics video, go to the gym or pool (my husband stays at home) and workout. Once I workout, I don't feel like binging anymore. I'll help myself to a few tbsps of yogurt or a rice cake..maybe that would work for you?0
