If at all possible try them before buying (not always easy if there is not much choice locally). Failing that, check the returns policy and buy a few different sizes. I find going down a cup size from my usual bra size works for me and really keeps everything in place!

I had tried a number of brands and wasn't happy with any until I found "Anita". I don't remember the model name, but the brand is Anita.

I also use the Anita Women's Extreme Control Bra made for women with large busts (I'm a H cup).

    Here's a link: http://www.amazon.com/Anita-Womens-Extreme-Control-Sport/dp/B00284B72G/ref=sr_1_fkmr1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358789117&sr=8-1-fkmr1&keywords=anita+compression+bra

I've also tried the Enell bra, but the fit is not as precise, so you just have to get the smallest size you can cram into. When I am doing something really high impact, I wear the two bras layered one over the other for max support.

Also, the Anita is breathable and wicking of moisture... which I must prefer to the Enell with is two thick panels of smothering, suffocating satin! UGH!!! I find it way too hot... whereas I find the Anita cool and comfy. I'm a 38H.

My problem is finding on that is under $60. Do any of you have suggestions (36D here)? I tried targets version of an encapsulation bra, but it was awful.

^^^ This. I can't pay $60 for a damn sports bra. I've been wearing 34Ds, but I strongly suspect it's more like 32. *SIGH* :frown:

I'm not nursing anymore, but my favorite one is still the Bravado nursing sport bra. Wore it just the other night on the elliptical, and it was like nothing was moving, it didn't ride up the back, and is super comfy. I think it was somewhere around $30. (I'm a 38F)

Also, I've found amazing deals and great bras for the larger ladies on www.figleaves.com. Sometimes you find something just right, sometimes not (inventory changes frequently), but I've found some of my favorite bras on there!

You have got to be kidding!!! The Genie BRA???? That thing was like the most useless bra I've ever put on. It doesn't even provide enough support to sleep in, let alone exercise in. It was like a soft, loose, sagging, flimsy piece of nothingness. The GENIE BRA??? For Busty women? For SPORTS??????? We are talking for women with more bust than a mosquito bite's worth right? Just saying, I wouldn't use that to lounge around on a Sunday watching TV.

Enell custom makes sports bras if you're having trouble finding one. They are pretty amazing. Slightly corset like, but they will hold everything still.

Shock Absorber has some great bras for bigger sizes. (If you search "shock absorber" on Amazon you will see some results. I like their run bra.)

I second the Fiona for women up to D/DD. Love those bras. Moving Comfort in general is great although if you're bigger than a DD/E I'd suggest Shock Absorber or Enell!

(On a side note: I used to fit sports bras.)

I've looked at ShockAbsorber because I've heard them mentioned before. But, most of their bras don't come in my size 38H. *sigh* Grateful to have discovered the Anita and still use the Enell at times (winter when the heat from the dual thick satin panels isn't so bad).

Enell, Enell, Enell! Save up the money and buy one, you will not regret it! My girls go nowhere in that thing and the hook and eye closures make sure that nothing is stretching out. I recently shrank out of my first one and my hubby bought me the next size down for Christmas.

The one everyone recommends for running does not come in that size. I've seen some bad reviews of this one. But, I ordered one because of the sale and we'll see how it goes.

I still have to wear 2 bras with the Enell for high impact activities like jumping jacks, jumping rope, etc. The Enell is VERY HOT with double thick satin panels. So, while it does work reasonably well, I have preferred others, especially in summer.

I have a brand new (tags still on it) Enell bra if anyone in the U.S. wants it for cheap. I bought it on Amazon a couple of months ago and forgot to return it before time ran out. There's nothing wrong with it... just a little bit big for me. Not sure of the exact size (I'll check it when I get home) but it was intended to fit a 34DD.
