I bought my FIRST pair of size 10 jeans last night. I do not recall a time I have ever worn size 10 anything! So long Lane Bryant you have been good to me, but I just do not want to be your friend anymore!

Wow! I'm with you. I have always been sizes 12-1X. I know how excited I would be to fit in 10.
Congratulations!! May you always be a size 10 or less, but never larger! ;) Have fun. :drinker:
  • That's awesome! Congratulations, feels good doesn't it?! I can't wait to see solid 10's myself...

How awesome!! I am so jealous!! (In the best way possible though!)

Currently, I'm in 14's and this is the smallest size I've worn in my entire adult life. I'm soooooo looking forward to 12's and I can't even begin to imagine how 10's feel!

    Rock on!

I still can't get over it. I had a hard time even getting them to try them on! The sales people must have thought I was up to something! Honestly I felt like grabbing a pair of 10's was something to feel guilty about. Like, who do I think I am, thinking I could fit into a size 10! Sometimes it is hard to get your head around the fact that your body is changing. Even after putting on the 10's, I found myself wandering into the plus size section! Someone told me that there was a sale at J Crew, and my first thought was Great, but I can't shop there. I guess I could actually check out that sale now! It is funny how hard it is to accept the benefits for something I am working so hard for!

WTG! I think last time I saw a 10, was the age 10. No kidding either. I have been heavy all my life and obese as they say since I was 15 years old. At my highest weight I wore a size 26 pants. After 6 weeks here, I got tired of walking around holding my jeans up. I was starting to look like a rapper.....lol! So last week I went and bought me a pair of jeans, size 20! I could not believe it! I will be 43 next Wednesday, and haven't wore a 20 since I was like 20.. GREAT motivation for me! Keep up the good work!

I totally agree with this and it is totally reassuring to me that others have these thoughts.

That's a great feeling! When that happened to me I wanted to dance to the checkout! When the cashier asked me "How are you doing today?" which was her stock, automatic greeting for everyone, I replied, "I"M GREAT!!!!" with a huge smile on my face. I waited for her to ask me why but she didn't and I as much as I was dying to share my news, I waited because clearly she wouldn't have cared. LOL

I hope you never fit into those larger sizes again!!!

Fantastic--congrats on your achievement. What a thrill! Had a similar thrill myself this week. Had ordered two skirts from Monsoon in the UK, size 14, which is a US 10-12. Finally tried them on this week as I wanted to wear one for a special reception, and they were too big! Have to have them taken in...

CONGRATUATIONS!! :flowerforyou: I know the feeling, too!! I am wearing size 10 now also. I have been overweight (or obese) since I was about 9 years old and I have NEVER worn size 10. I normally wore 14's, but I was stuck in 16's after my 2nd child. Size 12 was tiny to me...in my mind. Now size 12's are all too big on me. It is WEIRD. :noway: Last time I went shopping I kept finding myself AFRIAD to pick up the 10's, thinking, there'sNO WAY. I can't fit into that. I'm NOT a 10. The 12's were all too big though. I never dreamed.... I never dared to dream.

I am SO happy for you! ENJOY those 10's. Someday THEY will be your "fat pants" ! You're doing a WONDERFUL job! Keep up the great work!

Congrats!!! I can't wait until I get to that point. I'm about to go shopping for new pants this weekend myself and I'm excited that I'll likely be in a size 14. Haven't seen that size in about 4 years (darn you college dining hall food!). I've never been a 12, so that'll be when I start to party. The dress I'm wearing now is a 12, but that's cut different than pants.
