One with real honest to goodness food. I am not an expert, but I was doing a lot of research when I wanted to detox a while ago, and found numerous articles (from what seem to me good sources) that pointed out how bad the detox diets are that only have you drinking lemonade or smoothies for an entire week.

The suggestions about a detox diet that I liked and use were:
    1) Only do a detox for 1-3 days
    2) Eat real food and maintain a minimum 1200 calorie/day diet

My detox was easy; I was only allowed to eat: chicken (organic and using only natural spices, no salt or mixes etc), salmon, fresh fruits and vegetables, yogurt, and we allowed a hard boiled egg for protein at lunch, and a tbsp of balsamic vinaigrette on salads. Lots of water, green tea, and clear tea as well. Basically it was no salt, no coffee, no processed or prepackaged foods for 3 days. My boyfriend didn't love it but he lost some weight and felt really good by the end of day 3.

As I said, I'm no expert, but those are my thoughts.
