Hey! My friend works 3rd shift, which is 10pm-6am. How would she work out her menu? She doesn't really know how to, and neither do I.

Do you mean her meal timing/food choices or when to log the food in MFP?

IMHO , I think this would work, treat your work hours just like you would a regular day, so a couple of hours before you go to work, eat breakfast or something similar, then a snack a couple of hours later then lunch a couple of hours later, and so on and so on.

That's a great idea, never really thought of that!

She should just eat as she normally would.

There is no need to eat specific foods at any time of the day or time your meals to certain times of the day.

It all depends on when she gets hungry.

I changed my meals to times and log the time I'm eating instead of meals.. this way I dont have to change the date on my food diary bc that was getting me frustrated. I just log in and add it to the time for whatever day pops up... It's a little more difficult to see exactly how much I eat each 'day' (while I'm awake instead of calender day), BUT as long as I stay under on the calender days I know I'm doing fine.
