Hello MFP Community,
I'm a recent addition to this site but I have been using the nutrition facts here via Google for a while. Just a little background on me...
In the winter of 2012 I came very close (sometimes touching) 300 lbs. Being in my early 40s I decided it was time for a change so I started cutting down my food intake a little at a time while making little goals for myself each day/week/month. I started walking after 6 months of the change in diet. After walking for 3 months I started running and have now joined a gym so I can avoid weather problems in my workout. I am just about finished getting where I want to be with a total loss of 128 pounds (maybe 2-3 to go depending on how things shake out) and my measurements going back to pre wedding stats in just under 10 months. Today I feel healthier and more educated on nutrition than I've ever been thanks to MFP and some other sites.
I'm hoping you nice folks can point me toward some post links for maintaining y weight as I have to get out of the "weight loss" mode. I'm also curious how one could build in things like cheat days/meals and still maintain a healthy lifestyle as I believe it's important to have that flexibility for the long term.
I'm looking into more of this community and it would be great to add some friends that like to talk nutrition and eating habits. My family is tired of hearing me work through my questions out loud.
