Ok I looked in the mirror at myself today. I just don't see it. I have lost 19 pounds in 7 monhts. My husband keeps getting on me. He say dear go put a belt on you pants are falling down. Than he will say go change your top it lookes like you have a tent on.

To me I can't see the changes and I feel why my spend money to get new clothes that are not going to fit. My clothes I have on now are size 22 pants and 3X top.

Can anyone tell me how they got thier mind to say you lost the weight and it ok to enjoy it. Go out and buy a new pair of pants or top it ok.

Trust me, you might not see it because your clothes are too big. Buy yourself a couple of new better fitting items. Not only will it make you feel better, you will look better and it will spur you on to continue your weight loss journey. I would shop the clearance racks and find pants I liked and buy the next size or two down as I knew I would be passing through. This way I didn't spend a lot on clothes as I went from a size 24 down to a 10.
  • People started commenting, especially when my pants would fall down. :p When I was around halfway, I didn't want to shop because I knew I wanted to go down more sizes. I survived on just a couple of outfits forever!

Take pictures of yourself in the mirror every couple weeks. This really helped me to see the difference when I had trouble believing it.

With the new clothes thing-- yes it was kind of a pain, however having those new pants and tops that actually fit and made me look decent were a big source of motivation for me to continue. Best of luck!

Definitely buy something new-to-you. I went from size 22 to size 8. Don't spend a lot, but definitely get a couple outfits. Maybe at a Thrift store or Salvation Army store.

Warning, if you buy new clothes that fit, other people will start commenting on your weight loss. For me, that was tough. Weird, right? I'd be wearing size 18's and someone at work would say "have you lost weight?" But I'd want to reply "I have, but I'm still wearing plus sizes, so I must've been a real tub-o-lard before, huh?" It was like, I was embarrassed to tell them I'd lost 30 pounds BUT WAS STILL FAT. Once I got down to about a 12, I was a lot more proud of the fact I was losing and stopped hiding it

I don't see mine either. But I have bought a few smaller sized things, I know I'm smaller, and I feel smaller, but I can't see it. I keep hoping someday, my brain will catch up. :)
