Hi! new and needing motivation!

Hi everyone im new to the mfp community although I've been using the app for a month or so!
I'm 5'6 and 220 lbs was 224 so lost 4lbs so far and want to get down to 140 lbs but last week had an off week because I wasn't losing weight and ended up on a downer and going back to my bad eating and no exercising
But I have started up again and doing 30 day shred a d ripped in 30 different days and keeping my calorie count to 1200 a day!
Any tips on how to stay motivated if the scale doesn't move? Also looking to make new friends on the same journey as me

First thing I'd do is up your calories. 1200 might be way too low for you and might be causing your body to hold on to the weight.
Slow and steady wins the race! Consistency is also key!

Hi, I'm new to the community too...I've been using this app on and off for a while, and I've lost about 5 pounds so far. I'm 5'10 and 215 right now. My goal right now is to lose 20 more pounds so that I'm below that 200 mark! Also it will take my BMI down below "obese." I probably need to lose about 50 pounds to get to 170 or so. But I'm going to reevaluate when I hit 195! I think I'll be so happy to be at that point, I'll need a little time to stay at that weight and celebrate!
