Eating healthy while on the road?

I travel several times a month. How do you continue to eat healthy when you are on the road without resorting to fast food places? My trips are normally a few days long, and not things where I can really pack a cooler of meals to tote around with me. I know that some fast food places have "healthier" options, but the meals seem like they are tiny and won't be enough to fill me or give me the nutrition I need, and still seem high on calories. Any experience or advice appreciated

How about subway? I'm personally against it but I will give it credit for being one of the healthier options in terms of fast food. Some grocery stores have sub stations or delis where they'll make you a sandwich and you could buy some fruit to go along with it.0
