Pasta - probably a stupid question!

Sorry if this sounds realllly stupid, but ive weighed 50g of uncooked pasta and got the calories for that, however, when it cooks, will the calories change! lol.

That sounds so stupid as i am typing it, but I need confirmation lol

    Not really, but the weight will -- which is why I think you're supposed to weigh uncooked for pastas/meats etc.

    The weight of the pasta will change, so 50g of uncooked pasta when cooked will weigh more than 50g. The pasta absorbs some of the water it's cooked in.
