The first time I ever lost a huge amount of weight, I lost it too fast. I was trying to join the military (which I did) and I lost 47 pounds in 1 month. Due to that, I had to have my gallbladder taken out at 18 and have had pancreatitis ever since. I have undergone several surgeries and have been on a restricted diet as well.

Tip to others: do it the right way and take your time when it comes time to slimming down or else :)

47 Pounds in 1 month, how the hell is that even possible? Are you ok now?
  • oh god no! im fine. i lost 47 pounds over about 6 months, i just typed it in when i made this account :) i myself have bradycardia due to increased exercise which was unexpected. though it was investigated as deemed healthy. anyone else suffered any health effects due to weightloss (particularly rapid loss). thanks for the advice brewski!

I guess I am on the flip side. I lost 30 pounds because I was hospitalized for 16 days with pancreatitis. I went 7 days with no nutrition, only ice chips, and then 7 more days fed through a PICC line in my arm vein. I was rehospitalized again 3 weeks later. Definitely not the recommended way to lose weight.
