Always going over on sugar

I've been using this app for a while now and I've noticed that I have a very hard time keeping the sugar under the suggested limits. I need to keep track of these but all I have to do to go over is have a couple of pieces of fruit.
Is there a way to adjust the percentages of suggested amounts?
Or is there a different way to measure Fruit sugar?

The sugar is set really low on this site. You can adjust your sugar setting in your goals. However keep that original number in your head and try that as a *refined* sugar limit.0

I've heard of some people inputting their fruit intake as calories only, and then just following the guidelines for all the other added sugars. I find it really low, too, and am over every, single day. Although I'm type 2 diabetic and need to watch my sugar, my dietician has approved my usual intake, and said its fine, even though I'm over on here.0

Why are you tracking sugar at all?0

Like others have said, the sugar macros are low, its really a guideline on added sucrose/HFCS, etc. I eat very little sucrose, most of my sugar comes from natural sources and I am still always over just from all the dairy products I consume, and even those don't have added sugar and are usually cultured (I only have milk in my coffee and cereal in the mornings, and the cereal has a measured dollop of greek yogurt as well, so that bit is also cultured, plus milk and greek yogurt on days I eat a smoothie... no added sugar to those and it still blows the sugar right out of the water from the banana and the milk).0

Sorry no answer here, you pretty much asked the question that I was going to. I was just trying to look up information on Google regarding Naturally occurring sugar vs added sugar. I know to limit any added sugar, but I did the same thing... went over on my sugar already for the day. If I am just eating fruit, I am assuming that is good and I will know next time to watch the sugar in juice (no added sugar) but how important is it to track sugar? I know when I was setting up my goals it let me choose what to track.... what do most of you track ? Obviously I want to track calories and fat but what's the other big "ones" that I should be keeping track of ? Thanks for any input.0

Same problem here. I've been drinking natural juice, no added sugar, just fruit and vegetables, and I'm so over my limit for daily sugar intake. I wish there was a way to track natural sugars vs added sugars, so I'd know where I really stand.0
