Help on a Fast Food Item

I'm trying to put in Taco Bell's 5 layer beefy burrito... thing is, I don't like the sour cream nor do I like the nacho cheese sauce. There are plenty of "without sour cream" versions, but none with "without nacho cheese" as well. I've tried looking at their site, tried googling around, and can't seem to find an answer. Should I just list it as a "without sour cream" and forgo trying to be more accurate or does anyone know of a way I can find out? I wish Taco Bell had a "create your own" type of nutritional menu so you could add or subtract items you may or may not add on/take away.

The other option is to check the website for like, a side of nacho cheese, then take those calories off the one without sour cream....and I totally agree on the build your own thing....i love subways lol0

I agree to use the one that omits sour cream. It will be close.

My sis and a friend moved away from Texas and they have both said the Mexican just is not the same as in Texas.... I would guesstimate on the calories. I would find a nacho cheese in the system and see how many calories it is. Then take that amount and minus it from the total calories. Same thing with the sour cream. It might not be exact but no calorie counting is.0 -
oh i always have this problem when i decide to eat out somewhere that has nutrition facts, but in efforts to be healthier, i leave off the unhealthy parts and can't figure out the calories! I don't mind erring on the side of excess as i figure it's save, but sometimes i want those calories for later. Next time you go to Taco Bell, why not ask them if they know if what they put on a burrito cheesewise is about as much as a side. I bet you will find it pretty much is - they probably use a pretty standard restaurant ladle/scoop that would fill a small togo cup and that same scoop probably gets drizzled over the burrito....it's worth asking - if the cashier doesn't know and it's not busy, ask to talk to a cook!!0

Taco Bell works while dieting - you just have to adjust. When I was younger I lost 30 lbs in 3 months and ate at Taco Bell at least once per week. However I ate the 3 tacos meal. That should be right around 600 calories for 3 tacos. Burritos are hard because just the tortilla is probably 250 calories.0

Haha Probably true, but when I get those mexican food cravings and we have nothing to make tacos at home with, I go there. I actually don't think I've been to taco bell in about 6 months so I'm from Texas and I have yet to find place in the town I live in in Pennsylvania that can make the really good authentic mexican food that I'm used to. So it's either make tacos at home if I have the stuff or taco bell
I think there's a really good place in Scranton, and I know there's an awesome place in Milford too (kinda far, but hey, when you need mexican, right??) Google it! Or make your own! I have gotten to be like an abuela with all the Mexican food I cook at home.0 -
If you can estimate the number of ounces of cheese, you could just use the nutrition value for "velveeta block" cheese...0

Yeah, my uncle's family is hispanic, and so I kind of got spoiled by having REAL Mexican food, not to mention that a lot of the restaurants are pretty damn near home-made authentic so it's always really good. Up in PA I've been to one Mexican place, La Tolteca? I like their taco's too, it's just that they seem so much smaller than the burrito's. And I love tortilla's....one of my weaknesses is home-made tortillas!I think there's a really good place in Scranton, and I know there's an awesome place in Milford too (kinda far, but hey, when you need mexican, right??) Never heard of Milford, Scranton is about 45 minutes from here I think, but I hate driving there 'cause the roads are weird and full of one-ways and I get lost so easy! xD But if it's for good Mexican food I might have to brave the streets.0 -

Kind of off topic, as I'm not sure how many calories are in a sour cream, nacho cheese free beefy burrito- which sounds really good right now lol...but anyway maybe just look up a serving of sour cream on here and a serving of nacho cheese, and subtract it from the total calories in the burrito? I sympathize with the lack of choices. I'm from Southern California, and living in the Pacific Northwest can have its challenges when it comes to finding good Mexican. I look for the rolling coaches, that is where you can almost be assured of something good.
I still say just get close, but I guess if you are walking a fine line on not going over all the time, that could be a challenge.... spend 20 more minutes with the heart rate up
My comment towards Taco Bell wasn't geared towards the ability to lose weight or not while eating it. It was geared towards my ever so humble opinion that Taco Bell is probably the worst crud on the fast food market0
