Stepping it up

I was on MFP for about a year prior to making this new account. I lost about 100 pounds and got down to a weight that at first I thought would look great but realized that I needed something else. Muscle. I am here now to build muscle all while maintaining a relatively lean physique. I am looking for friends who are knowledgeable regarding diet and exercise for somebody who is looking to add muscle and burn remaining body fat. I have been working out for the past two years but only seriously lifting for the past year or so. I'm looking forward to meeting some new people and learning more about how to get shredded!

Great goal! You are probably looking for a male's perspective but I know a thing or two being in the body building world. I am also trying to add some more muscle.0

Not necessarily, there are plenty of females that know much more than I do about these things! I am here to learn everything I can0

It's all about volume when you are going for muscle mass and hypertrophy. You can increase your volume by increasing your weight, reps, or sets. I recommend four sets instead of the typical three. Do drop sets so you can work up to heavier weight. And do six different exercises for the muscle group (instead of the typical three again). That's how I have been lifting for the past two months and I never knew how fast muscle could increase, especially for a woman.0
