Hi everyone! I am in SERIOUS need of a motivation buddy! I need someone that will keep in contact with me on a regular basis to help keep me on track. I have seriously lost my motivation and it's extremely hard for me to get it back for some reason. I'm tired of saying that I will start tomorrow and tomorrow never gets here. I was doing so well about a year ago but I've had so many things happen in my life since then that have seriously thrown me off track and I just need some help getting back on. Is there anyone out there that is willing to work with me on this journey of mine? I'm in desperate need because I want to lose the weight but I just need help getting motivated to do so

I'm game! I log in here every day, several times a day. You just tell me what kind of motivation/accountability you need, and I'll be here :)

Hey, If you need a buddy, I don't mind checking in with you. I know how it is to lose your motivation or to get hammered by the ups and downs of life.

I've started this journey so many times and failed. Or I'll get going and something bad happens that just slams me: family death, accidents, injuries, college homework overload. But I'm been doing good for a week now since I got started on this again and I want to keep it up. We can do it.

And you have to keep in mind that it shouldn't be about the weight loss...it should be about a healthy you which will lead to a happy you. When you put the goal on something besides the weight loss then its easier I think to maintain your motivation.

OMG! Its like you posted my thoughts exactly! I just started up on Monday and I really want to be serious about it this time. I also have so much going on in my life. I actually think my weight has made me slightly despressed. I know I need to get off the couch and start moving. I injured my shoulder about a year ago and it has really put some limitations on me which I think I have been using as an excuse not to exercise. Well I have finally had enough of moping around and feeling sorry for myself. I have a long way to go and I need all the help I can get so you count me in. We can do this. I do need to figure out how these message boards work but other than that, lets get started!!

I'm on here everyday multiple times a day. We all need to hear those words of encouragement and someone to motivate us when we are falling. Feel free to add me too

I'm in! I have done this for the past 3 weeks.....motivation is hard when you don't see the scale moving in the right direction.:grumble:

I check in daily while posting my food diary.

I do have a question for everyone-

I am eating 1200 calories a day (have rarely gone over) and exercising 3 + times a week.

The question is are you suppose to eat the calories you burned that are add to the 1200? OR are you NOT to eat the calories burned? I haven't lost any weight yet.

    Need advice.

First, I would like to say! I'm totally in. I'm on here every day several times a day. So, I would love to help you out with motivation!! I could use some myself!

To answer the question regarding the exercise calories, I try to eat some of them back. Your body needs at least 1200 calories to stay full and not go into starvation mode. So if you eat 1200 calories a day, but you just exercised off 200 of the 1200 try to eat a little something to keep at the 1200 mark.

I am in. I feel the same way I start up and do ok for awhile than life gets in the way. I have a hard time keeping myself motivated to work out. My husband it the opposite hes happy works out every day, so he doens't understand why it is so hard for me to keep going.
I am also on everyday so having feed back everyday would be good for me.

Yes, eat your workout calories. Your body needs "fuel" to run.

So my life just took a dramatic turn. I don't know if it is good or bad yet, I am still in shock.

My husband quit his job yesterday, with no real warning. I knew he was unhappy and I had mention to him a couple of weeks back about finding a different job or even going back to school. Well he called me in the middle of his shift and told me he was going home, he was done. We both work/worked night shift so he called me at work.

This week is Lab week, so we have had food at work all week. So I ate my way through the rest of my shift. I had behaved my self for 7 hours, in the same room as brownies. Then he called and I went straight for the brownies, and then the cookies.

He in now enrolled in accounting classes at the local technical college. He will be taking 3 classes between now and fall semester.

Then we went to Padro's and had fajjitas and a very large margarita.

It is alot to take in for one day, emotionaly and food wise.

    hopping for a better tomorrow.

I am doing much better the last coupleof days. Going to the Dr on Monday to see what is wrong with my leg, (knee ach and shin pain.) This way I will know what my limitaions are and what I can push through.

I plan on working out in a hour. I am going to do a p90X workout. I might not be able to do much cardio, but I can still do strenght training.

Hope everyone is doing well, and thanks for letting me vent the other day.
