Hey everyone,
With the Super Bowl coming up this Sunday, I was wondering what some of you were doing in terms of a healthy alternative for the Super Bowl?

It's one day, and it won't kill your diet.
That said, check out www.skinnytaste.com, or Google "healthy Superbowl snacks". A lot of food magazines/websites run a special "SuperBowl week" or whatever leading up to the day.
Stick to your guns, be good to yourself and try to enjoy the day, will ya? It comes around once a year!0 -

Veggie platters.
Baked tortilla chips with salsa or rotel with low fat bean/cheese dip.
pretzel rods.
Chicken wings no skin (i use low sodium teriyaki or a buffalo sauce).
Chicken breasts in slices (almost the size of a chicken strip) wrapped each with one slice bacon - baked.
just a couple ideas, although there's hundreds more.0 -
Anything wrapped in BACON will be just fine :laugh:0

Haha, usually I would agree with you! But this time around I'm going the opposite direction.0 -
I'm doing the skinnytaste.com buffalo chicken dip too! Yum!0

Nacho polenta
Slice polenta about half an inch thick, thinner if you can without it falling apart
Top each slice with fat free refried beans, ground turkey taco meat (or lentils with taco seasoning), salsa and shredded cheddar cheese
Bake at 425 for about ten minutes or until cheese starts to bubble.
If you want this to be finger food, you will probably have to make your own polenta and bake it into an appropriate size.
Veggie platters with laughing cow herb and garlic, instead of dip.
Laughing cow mixed with thawed and drained frozen spinach also makes a good dip, someday I may even have artichokes on hand when I do this. Use veggies or multi grain pita chips.0 -
super cheat day!!!! 6 ft subs, wing, chips, and beer...and iam going to have my own cheerleaders serve it to me...0
