Depends on what you want by "relatively lower calorie/fat" dinners... For example, I made apple almond chicken salad earlier this week. 4 servings, one cup of chicken salad. 405 calories, 15 carbs, 20 fat, 39 protein.

(I didn't make the homemade mayo, I used 5 tbsp of Hellman's Light.)

If you want more protein and even lower calories/fat content, it's probably easiest to stick with grilled proteins and roasted veggies. It's not always exciting but it fits the bill...

I made mini turkey meatloaves for dinner last night in a muffin tray. The nice this is they're customizable - my bf needs more calories, so I put more sauce and cheese on his loaves, and less on mine. 1 average mini meatloaf was about 135 calories and 13 g of protein, I ate 4. You could probably knock some calories off that using lower fat milk, low fat cheese, etc.

Thanks and that chicken salad sounds so yummy. I don't like fatty meals, I find myself much more tired if there too much fat in it, however looking at my last few days I think calorie content isn't a big deal since I am having a pain trying to keep up with my nursing baby (he feed every 2 hours due to tummy problems). I can't have dairy, as it upsets his tummy. So other than the dairy in my mom drink I don't have any.

Turkey meatloaves sound like a good idea plus the personalized size will be a great thing for my older son!

    Thanks

I add protein to other meals. Egg or egg white at breakfast, protein shake, unsweetened almond milk, chicken on my salad, like that.
