Hi all!!
I just wanted to give you all a web page I use when I have to go out to eat. This is a site I used when I did WW with my mom a few years back. This woman, Dottie, had gotten all this information (fat, calorie, protein, sodium, carbs) and put it on her web page. There is information from fast food places like Arbys, McDonalds, and also restaurants like Applebees, Red Lobster, Olive Garden. We went to Red Lobster for my birthday last weekend and it helped that I looked at her site before I went so I knew what the best thing I could get.

Which looking thru her list of restaurants, it was mind blowing. I never realized how many calories were in a bisquit from Red Lobster. I loved those things and would normally eat 3 or 4. I split just 1 with my son last weekend.

Thank you so much for your post. I have been looking for something like that for a while. I usually just try to eat off of menus with 500 calories items. It is crazy to see how many calories can be in 1 item.

You are welcome. I decided before I got into this that I was going to bring my lunch 3 times a week and treat myself twice. I am going to change that to only going out on Fridays for lunch, but anyway, even if I go out to lunch I can look and find the best choice.0 -
You have lost 8 pounds? That is great! You and I are about the same age. I will be 37 next month and I have 2 kids also. I am giving myself 1 day a week as well to not exercise and not worry too much about going over my 1300 calories that day. The other 6 days a week, I want to be right on track with both. Got to live a little! Best of luck to you and remember, you just had a baby a year ago.0

We could be twins My birthday was last week, so just turned 37.
The website was extremely helpful to me. I think the greatest surprise I had was Subway. Before, when trying to eat healthy, we would go to Subway for lunch. I would get a chicken terriaki and think I was doing so good and then I get on her site and was just amazed at the calorie count. All the calories in all the extras (cheese, mayo, the teriaki sauce) Man. Now, when I do go to Subway, I layoff the mayo, layoff the cheese and stick with meat and veggies and a little mustard.0 -
You got it. That is exactly what I have been figuring out too. We go to Planet Sub every so often and they have their nutrional info on the website which is great. If I leave off mayo and cheese that is almost 200 calories. But, no cheese?? Yikes. LOL Keep up the good work!! I have notice the more fiber, the better. You get a lot, it fills you up and is good for you!0
