I feel I should be losing more

Hey guys, just wanted to see if I could get some opinions. Since I've restarted at 286 lbs with MFP I've lost 28lb in 14 weeks. It doesn't feel adequate. In general I'm under or just a tad over my calorie goal every day and I do cardio at least 60 minutes a day 6 days a week. I feel its too early for me to be hitting a plateau because I've lost a comparatively minuscule amount and I have so much more to go. I try to increase my speed and intensity each week and even occasionally zig zag calories. I just feel so frustrated. Im a big guy (currently 258) I feel im not pulling numbers I'm supposed to be. I can't help think there is something medically wrong with me. Oh I forgot to add im on depression/anxiety medication, but my appetite has not increased a bit. I dunno maybe its just my metabolism is screwy from all the stops and restarts I've been doing over the years. And Im getting older.
Anyway, here's what my graph looks like so far.

Your 60 minutes a day of cardio on top of a major weight loss can be a stressor on your system. People don't give credit to the hormonal effects on the body. Look at your calorie count and be sure it is enough to sustain that activity level. You may also look at your macros too. I hit a several month plateau and started losing again when I quit going to the gym! Seems all that activity and the sleep deprivation had my endocrine system wigged out.
Just food for thought!0 -
28 pounds in 14 weeks is exactly 2 pounds a week.
That's just about right.0 -
Despite a math degree, arithmetic isn't my thing, but I'm calculating 28lbs in 14 weeks as 2lbs/week. That's a phenomenal loss rate and sounds just about right for where you are. I think the only thing that may even possibly potentially have room for improvement is just a teensy bit of patience and a tad bit of reassessment of your expectations. You're doing fantastic-keep up the great work!0

This.
Losing 1 to 2 pounds a week is a healthy rate of loss. You are at the top end of that! Life isn't like the Biggest Loser. When you say you aren't "pulling numbers" you are supposed to be, what do you think your weekly loss should look like?0 -
Turn off Biggest Loser. 2 lbs a week is more than good.0

Thanks all Didn't think about possible hormonal influences. Your responses do put things into perspective. I guess I just assumed I should be dropping more weight due to my size.Life isn't like the Biggest Loser. LOL! True. I dunno I guess I was expecting to be dropping at least 3 pounds every week considering my diet and exercise.Turn off Biggest Loser.

Yeah, 2 pounds/week is a dream of mine. Seems like you're doing fine.0
