Looking for a good one cause I'm not sure if xbox 360 is calculating my burn correctly. Your thoughts on a good one with or without chest band?
Thanks

With chest band that is ecg accurate. If you got the money buy a descent pulsar, i didnt got the money so bought something cheaper but fortunate for me it works fine.0

I just bought a Polar FT4 today-- Sears has it online for $42-- not sure how long it will be that low... I've read great reviews but have yet to try it.0

I have a Polar FT 4. I absolutely love it!! It has a chest strap, but I don't even know it's there!!0

I currently use a Suunto T3D that requires a chest strap. I'm thinking about a new one called mio alpha that doesn't require a chest strap. I'm considering replacing my Suunto.

I have the same and it works great!0 -
Zumba Core on xbox..... Love it and since it's 360, it watches me to make sure I am accurate with every step and only gives me points if completely on point.0

I use the polar ft 4 too. they make sports bras where you can attach the heart rate monitor so you can lose the strap. so far, i've really enjoyed it.0

That's cool. I've been doing some of the nike+ on 360. Great workout and like you said, the live feedback is great to correct your form and pace.0 -

I recently purchased the Garmin FR70 and premium chest strap. I absolutely love it ! It's comfortable and I seem to try and push myself a little harder when it's on. I love seeing the numbers climb0

I love my old Polar F6. Been going strong for 4 or 5 years now. I did upgrade to the wearlink strap (you can replace the battery) when I lost my old one.0

avoid mio at every expense. even though it syncs up with myfitnesspal. ive had both the mio active and the mio active connect, and the slightest bit of moisture from the back of my wrist make it have a fit and scream out to be dried. standing perfectly still, it'd take up to a minute to calculate my heart rate.0

Polar FT60 & lucky for me my gym connects to that one perfectly.0

Polar FT7 - love it . The FT4 is cheaper and just as accurate, so I'd recommend that, though. The extra bells and whistles on the FT7 aren't worth it - MFP gives you enough reports as it is.0

Thanks for the tip! I have been looking for a HRM for a week or so and I finally settled on this one... and almost bought one on Amazon today for $66ish.
I had some reward points for Sears so scored it for about $35!0 -

Thanks SassyFitMom for the tip on Sears! I tried yesterday, and it wasn't available for pickup/ out of stock for shipping. Took a chance and today it was available to ship :-)
I've got a Garmin Forerunner that works beautifully for my outside runs, but my treadmill at home is a Yowza Smyrna, and it doesn't recognize the Garmin HR monitor. I'm hoping the Polar chest strap will be compatible!0 -
