Just needing some friends :)

My name is Megan and I am 19 years old. I am 5'4 and 218lbs. I have been on MFP for over a year, but have had a lot of trouble sticking to it. I was pretty confident I could do this on my own, but have come to realize that perhaps it's easier if I have a support system behind me, and vice versa. The main reasons I want to get healthy are to just be healthy and live a long life. To hopefully get over how introverted I am and to finally make some friends, and to be able to look at myself in the mirror and not be ashamed, but happy at what I've accomplished. I am not shy about being helpful and support, so don't hesitate to ask anything!

Hi Megan, I am right there with you and we all need support and encouragement. Some days are easy to stick to and some days I feel defeated and want to give up.Thank goodness everyday brings a new choice. I have lost weight (27lbs) so far but am finding it difficult to stick to an excercise program of any kind. I applaud you for tackling this at 19, I am 38 and really wish I had done this when I was your age! Anyway add me as well and lets support each other on this life-changing journey.0

my biggest downfall is after 6pm when i come home from work. i can just go on and on eating. it is more like filling up the emptiness inside me rather than real hunger.0

Thank you! Don't worry, you will find one. I have also struggled to find one. We can do it, though, mustn't give up! I wish you the best of luck!
May I just say I love you username. Koalas are my favorite animal!0 -

I know exactly how you feel. I can be healthy the whole day, but when I get home from school, I can't help myself and i mess everything up. Last week I tried drinking a glass of water every time I got hungry when I know I had just eaten. Has worked pretty well so far. Definitely worth a try! Best of luck!0 -
Hey! I literally just signed up and would love to be a part of a supportive team. I'm 26, 217 lbs and want to lose almost the same amount as you!0

Hi Everyone! I'm not new to the site. I've been using this for a few months now and having success. I need to get healthy and lose weight. I'd like to weigh 150lbs. I'm 5'6 so that's pretty reasonable. I weighed that when I was in my mid-20s and felt great! Also, I need to get rid of my baby fat. I feel like I've been pregnant for 2 years straight! I have 2 girls (S is 2 this month and E is 8 months). So that means I was 6 months post-pardon when I got pregnant with E! Yikes! So I have to get rid of my belly. Also, I pay extra on my insurance because my waist measurement is too high. soooo...we will save $80/month when I lose the weight! So that's my story!0

Best of luck to you! Sounds like it will be tough with having to little ones, but don't give up! You can do it! My brother and I are only 13 months apart, so my mom tells me all the time how hard it was for her to lose the weight It can happen! Best of luck!0 -
Feel free to add me if you like! Always looking to make friends on here. The more support we all have the better0
