Tiny NSV - I hope no one saw me on CCTV

This is nothing compared to all your great achivements here, but I feel like Neil Armstrong now. I had a huge fight with myself in the store thinking about whether to get nutella or not.
I put it in my trolley thinking I would be a responsible eater & have it only for breakfast with 1 slice. Then I thought "are you crazy! You would get a spoon & finish it in one sitting." So I put it back. I put it in the trolley once more remembering how much I liked it, but left the store without it finally
It's my crack

Good for you!0

Good job! I have to do that with cashews. I love them. I will not stop eating them! So I resist in the store so I won't have to resist them in the pantry, to paraphrase another poster.0

Nutella should be illegal, I salute your willpower.0

Yay, that's an awesome NSV! I have the same kind of struggle with peanut butter. I buy it thinking, "hey, peanut butter is a great source of healthy fats, it's good for me!" and then it leads to me huddled in the corner of my living room with a spoon, the jar of peanut butter, and a bottle of honey....
I will remember your NSV when I'm at the store next and need to resist the siren song of the peanut butter...0 -

This!!0 -
Haha, strong will you have!! Way to go!
I still have a large jar of Nutella from pre-losing weight that I've been whittling away at, one tbs at a time, and dang is it hard to not go crazy on it! I'm certainly not going to replace it after it's gone.0 -
when i go shopping things like nutella and crisps and cheesecake end up scattered around tesco, as i put them in my trolley then put them back whereever i am when i change my mind!0
-
Great job!! I am also a Nutella addict!! It should definitely be illegal!0
-
that is awesome!!! and i definitely don't think that is a small nsv.... it's huge!0
-
great job girl! thats one of my addictions and i find easier if i just walk on by it ..also where we live we call a "trolley" a "buggy" lol0
-
That is an NSV for sure. Nutella is amazing and I also have difficulty resisting it0

I wish, but the drug dealers would definitely have my business if they sold it.
Thanks all0 -

OP, great job; congrats!
@lauraceaerosa: That imagery was PERFECT! Do you also make gutteral sounds while warding away potential competitors away with a stick?!0 -

I actually left it behind in the counter0 -
The stores by me sell the huge one! You know how they have the small one and the big one..they have another one about 5-6 times the size of the big one...love that stuff!0

Hahah, no, but only because I've already scared off all potential competitors with my threatening visage0 -

This!!
This x a million. Great decision.0 -
It's my crack too! Great idea. It's a waste of money anyways.0
-
I salute you too.
I had alf a jar when i started and said that one its gone i wont get another till i reach 70 kgs.
I had never seen a jar licked as clean as that one was when i finally threw it out.
And only 2 kgs to go for me before i get another jar :drinker:0 -
For me, that was the first step - being able to resist the purchase. Yay for you!0
-
Bravo!! It's the small successes that add up to the really *BIG* ones.0

Oh my goodness same exact same thing here today, I had to beg myself away from the nutella in the grocery store! I knew If I bought it I would get a spoon like you said and finish it in one sitting. Congratulations! Overcoming the Nutella Crack is a hard obstacle :P0

You have the needed components to succeed! WILLPOWER, dieting, and if you add exercise, you will win and get what you want to get! Good for you!0
-
good for you. that was a great decision. Myself, I don't bring home anything anymore, from the store, that is not a healthy choice. I don't have any cravings yet but I am on day 28. I am so darn determined that this time is it. this time I am going to lose the 90 lbs baggage. this is me in 2013. I am now 60 years old and I need to take control of my weight and be healthy.
good luck to all out there as we continue on this journey, together, to get healthy.0 -
Sara I do some of the same things....I'll pick up at item and having the same thoughts...oh it will last all week. I know in my mind it may make it till tomorrow. So I'll walk back to that aisle and drop that item off. Great job doing that and sticking to your plan.0
-
Not a tiny NSV at all! That's huge.
For me, it's the large bags of potato chips and tortilla chips (esp the hint of lime Tostitos. O.M.G.). The only thing like that I can have in the house is snack bags of baked chips... those I can dole out to myself.0
