Hello, I am 18 years old and currently trying to lose weight. When i was younger my parents only fed my brother and I junk food non stop and we were not well taken care of. I now live with my grandparents who have bought a treadmill and support my weightloss. My boyfriend eats whatever he wants whenever he wants and seems to not get when i cant eat something due to the junky fatness of it. I am looking for friends who understand the excitement of losing even just 1 or 2 pounds. Add me or message me!
I am currently 157. Due to losing about 9 pounds.
My Final goal is 130-135. But as of now my first goal weight is 150-155 by feb. 25th. Which as it seems im well on my way!

Hi! Just a quick share - my darling husband is much like your boyfriend; in fact he just said to me, "It's the weekend - forget about calories!" I know he means to be sweet, but he just doesn't understand how that undermines my efforts. I am learning that in order for me to be successful, I have to take total responsibility for the process. He is not going to be helpful. Here are a few things I have learned to do: I exercise without talking about it before I do it, order off the menu from the healthy section as though that's EXACTLY what I want to eat so he doesn't feel guilty eating a cheeseburger and fries while I'm munching a salad, and when I cook I fix things he can either add cheese to or have bread with so he doesn't feel deprived while I can keep it simple and more "diet friendly." I'm still figuring out how to work around his "but I love you just the way you are" mentality, but these are a few things I'm doing that are helping me keep on track. I'm new to myfitnesspal, but have been on the wagon for about a week. I've lost and gained weight several times in my life. The most successful and long-term losses happen slowly, so don't get discouraged. I am keeping my food diary faithfully and find that is the best way for me to stay accountable. You are very wise to get a handle on your weight while you are so young. Developing a healthy relationship with food and good fitness and eating habits will keep you from missing out on so many of life's experiences that being overweight can make you shy away from. Good for you! Best of luck!0
