my earliest song i remember was "When a child is born" by Johnny Mathis - just brings back wonderful memories of my mum and nan - always makes me feel happy and sad at the same time.

ok this sounds really weird, but you know that song "the pina colada song"? its about a guy who gets tired of his old lady so he answers a lonely hearts ad and it turns out the lonely hearts ad was put out by his old lady. my parent played that song all the freaking time!. i remember being out in the hot tub playing around as a real little kid and my mom would run back in and put the needle back to the beginning of the record. when i hear that song i remember those times so strongly.

my mom never told me the real reason they like that song so much, but i have a feeling its not because they like pina coladas lol.

"Once Upon the Cross" by Deicide. It was the first death metal song I ever heard, and began my spiral to the dark side. Weeeeeee!!!

Hey Jude/The Beatles. It encompasses all my 60's memories of High School and College up until and including marrying my first husband Paul.

  • My first love would sing "Wonderwall" to me. He was never all that great at expressing feelings and this song fit so perfectly.

Free Falling by Tom petty. My late father used to sing this at the top of his lungs when I was a kid (he was a cool dad haha). It took me a long time after he passed to hear this song and not cry, but i love it now. Sometimes it comes on the radio or pandora randomly and I think it is him saying hi from heaven :)
