workout log

I can't seem to find a workout log that does what I need for my kindle fire....I want to be able to log both my cardio and strength training by entering my own info instead of choosing from a list of exercises already there. Any ideas?

  • I use www.freeworkoutlog.com. You can use the predefined exercises or add your own custom exercises.

Can you get MFP on it? On MFP you can enter your own exercises when you are entering your cardio or strength workouts.

Agreed, make your own. Or you can pay me to make one for you. I'm puurrrty good at Excel. ;)

I don't think I can make my own, Excel is not my friend. MFP doesn't let me log the weights and reps, which is what I really want to do, so that I can look back at what I was doing over time. I will try the freeworkoutlog thing, thanks everyone for replying.

If you log your exercise under strength training, it lets you name the activity and log sets, weights and reps. I track my weight lifting under both "Strength" and "Cardio" because when you log under strength, it doesn't give you a calorie burn. Once you get your entries made up, it's easy to copy them from day to day, so when you are doing those exercises again you just move it. For example, I log bench press and it says I did 3 sets of 5 reps at X weight last Sunday. I can just copy this (and all other strength entries) to today and then edit if the weight or reps or sets change. I love it and it's easy to use my phone and edit each activity during my "rest" periods.

It sounds like I need to spend a little more time checking out the workout log section 'cause I didn't know I could do all that. Thanks.

I just use an old fashioned composition notebook and pen. /shrug Works great, and is less prone to being destroyed by a dropped weight than just about any gadget.

JEFIT. Has both preprogrammed exercises and a place where you can add your own. Keeps track of reps and weight for subsequent workouts
