Well, my baby is 3 months and I was thinking about getting the bike carrier attachment. I think it's a great idea. Great exercise, good time for my babygirl to get fresh air and relax and mommy daughter bonding time.. well kind of But i love the idea of it. Just gotta scoop up the money for it. Originally i was going to get HCG but why not buy something i can workout and spend time with my daughter with?
Do you guys have one?
Can I put her in one at 3 months?
How do I make sure it won't come unattached?

Hey there, I am new too and admire your strength to get out and about with a baby! I never used the newborn attachments myself but if you have the right bike and get it put on at a bike shop, it is safe. Are you talking about the one that you clip a baby carseat into? Thats the one I mean. Otherwise you can use a trailer, and make sure it is in good working order. Just be safe and stick to bike paths and you should be fine.0

Bikes are not safe at all for babies until they have really strong head control. That would be 9 months at the earliest. You will also have to find a helmet small enough for her. I wasn't able to get a helmet that fit until she was over a year. Your best bet is walking. Or running. Either way your daughter needs to be her car seat, not the stroller itself until about 6 months so as not to damage her spine/neck. If you have a stroller strides in the area, that is another option. I just walked a ton and did yoga at home.0

I got my bubba in a bassinet which attached to my running pram and we go running together, i started that when she was 7 weeks old but only ran on flat bike paths. she was fully supported though and didn't bounce around. she is now 4.5mths, I also do exercise when she is sleeping, I put on a fitness DVD or do a crossfit circuit in my backyard while she has a sleep. I can't wait to take her for a bike ride, but she is far from being able to do that. Just do what works for you.0

I'm a pretty keen cyclist and didn't put mine on the (front) seat till they could sit up on their own. As they were between my arms I didn't worry about a helmet. Seen some unbelievably good trailers (would do for little babies) which double as pushchairs. Wish I'd known about them when starting out. Good luck!0

This is not exactly on track re bike question. I wanted to suggest something that might also interest you since you are wanting to work out with a young baby. I just read about this the other day and so wish I had known this when my little one was lighter. He is now 16kg and just too big for this. (Plus won't sit still!!!) Michelle Bridges (Australian trainer for The Biggest Loser) has a whole load of exercises you can do using your baby as a weight. Fun for baby as well as good exercise for Mommy. I watched a few clips with her routine on youtube. I imagine DVD is available too. You may want to check this out.0
