I need some serious MFP friends!

Hi everyone,
I have a problem. :(
I'm a binge eater (only 9:29 and I've already had 730 Calories!)
I tend to eat my problems instead of deal with them.
I'm looking for some great mfp friends to help keep me on track.

Any takers?

    Right here!!! (Hand waves)
  • I'd be glad to walk down this road with you! I also tend to eat my problems sometimes... trying to learn new hobbies to thwart those feelings and am taking steps to slowly examine & deal with the issue(s). You're not alone! :flowerforyou:

I'm a stress eater! And I binge when there is an over abondance of food in the house. My suggestions:

1: Keep Snacks out of the house. [If you are like me and have family that wants snacks, I have a husband and two kids. Then until you learn Self Control only buy them snacks you don't like to eat! Ex: I hate Cool Ranch Doritos, my husband loves them. I'm not fond of applesauce, my kids love it! Or just get healthy snacks in the house, Fruits & Veggies.]

    2. When you're on a binge, log everything! Makes you accountable for what you've done.

    3. One bad morning, IS NOT an excuse to abuse the rest of your day! If you have noticed you are on a binge, then carefully calculate your calories for the rest of the day! If you are worried you will be hungry [won't have enough calories] Then run up and down your stairs to burn some calories for dinner! Running stairs for me gives me lots of calories and takes minutes!

    4. ALSO! **EDIT** Forgot Drink LOTS AND LOTS of water! It helps keep you full. It's hard to do at first, but it gets easier and starts filling you better as you continue to do it. I think it has some to do with the mentality of it all too. If you want it to make you full, lol it does. Not sure, that's what it seems like to me.

    5. Add me! I am on daily and will be more than happy to help you out & try to keep you on track and motivated!

I tend to just say "**** it" from time to time and binge. to thwart that I keep things like chocolate, chips, cheetos (mmmm) out of the house. I also cut up a weeks worth of fruits and veggies and put them in pre-measured baggies and put them on the top 2 shelves of my fridge right in front. when I have those triggers I don't normally go looking for something. I grab the first thing I see, this keeps the bad things out of sight. feel free to add me, I'm on here all the time.
  • Please add me as your friend, would enjoy chatting, I can totally relate.
