only 4 lbs lost out of 150, but i have my first NSV

I've already noticed some shrinking on my body. See, even at my heaviest, I have an hourglass shape. It helps that I'm tall, it helps stretch out some of the fat, that's my idea anyways. My sister said even when I was skinner, I had that shape, so who knows. I know though that when I lose weight, the dip of the hourglass gets smaller first. I was brushing my teeth in front of the mirror and I put my hand on my hip. Not because I'm mad but it's comfortable. I realized my hand was going in further than normal so I stood there looking at my hips for awhile and my waist. It may just be in my mind, but it looks smaller to me. I know, only 4 pounds lost and some people don't see a change until 30lb. Maybe it's in just in my head. But my husband already noted that it looks like I've lost some. So that's my NSV (non-scale victory). I hope you have some too soon!

as long as you feel the difference it is good and if you do some sort of exercise maybe you get more in shape too and that is noticable even with "just" 4 lbs lost!
Congrats on those 4 lbs loss and first NSV!:flowerforyou:0 -
I've been doing cardio starting this week. The first two weeks were just tracing and getting used to drinking more water. So I have a feeling it'll get better. thank you!0

Sometimes it's inches and not lbs that you lose. It's totally possible you lost enough to see! Great work and keep it up!0

I also had only a 5 lb weight loss since i started Jan. 2, 2013 but i started treadmill walking 3 times a week 30 minutes and now up to 50 minutes 5 times a week and I can get back into the jeans i couldn't wear at Thanksgiving. They are tight but not uncomfortable like they were. I can also put my palm on the front of my thighs when i walk and not feel the little jiggle (like jello) that was there before i started at the gym. I've taken measurements and think i am down 3/4" in thighs and 1/2 in calf, maybe 1/2 in waist but not sure as i may be pulling tape tighter but clothes show a difference.0

This is a great NSV -- every small steps counts and counts big and I think it's great you are celebrating it! Keep up the good work!0
