What sort of weight training

Hi,
Hope some you can help me with this,
I started doing mainly cardio (cross trainer, treadmill) and have recently added some minor weight training (if you can call it that). I'm trying to tone my abs and pecs as I have a bit of flab and small man boobs from losing over 60 lbs. Not a lot but enough that I need to tighten it up. I am mainly doing crunches for the abs and butterfly dumbbell lifting (?) for my pecs
What I am looking for are some suggestions as to what I SHOULD be doing to tighten this up and what weight should I start out and how I will know when it is time to increase weight/resistance.
Sorry of these sound like simple questions but I just want to get it right
Thanks

For your chest, skip the flyes and start bench pressing. Squats and deadlifts will do wonders for the ab area, as well as giving you great leg work.0

No specific exercise will eliminate flab from a particular spot on your body - i.e, spot reduction is all hype. (But I'm sure there are those that will chime in with suggestions on how to).
If you're really interested in weight lifting, google for Stronglifts 5x5 or pick up a copy of Starting Strength. The basic lifts -including deadlift, squat, overhead press, and bench press - will strengthen your entire body.0 -
