I've always been a fan of the first Mad Max movie. I really wish they would re-do it! Whats on your list of movies you'd like seen re-made?

    It Happens Every Spring. It's a really old movie about baseball. A scientist invents a product that when applied to wood repels objects --like baseballs. I saw it when I was little. It gets played on TBS sometimes. Really funny.

    I'd like to see a modern day Children of the Corn, one that actually has some effort/development put into the actual storyline of the creation of the cult, and makes a solid attempt at being scary (just because I'm a huge Stephen King fan!).

    I'm a snob, I am not a big fan of remakes. Maybe Logan's Run and this time they will actually read the book.

    I so agree. Redone some of my fav movies and now I can't watch the original anymore. Will have to stop seeing remakes.....

    well let me see if I can think of any remakes that were good as the original? what about all the takes on "christmas carol" theme. I like those usually.

    They're not redoing the old movie, they're creating a prequel... which is a shame, as there were 14+ books in the series, so they could have easily just made a film of one of the books.

    Not very much... They are classics for a reason. There are very few that come close to the original

    There are more reasons not to make remakes...

    Oh no doubt! He made a great "Arthur." (He plays a good drunk in general) But not Rhett. He doesn't have the class to play Rhett Butler. I think I could go with someone like Ewan McGregor, Pierce Brosnan, Liam Neeson, or maybe even George Clooney. Only someone with debonair could pull it off.

    Even though I agree with not touching old movies, I'd like to see a re-make of Mary Poppins. The magical nanny would kick *kitten* this time around and the penguins would look less animated and more CGI!

    By the way, they definitely ARE doing a remake of Mad Max. There's an Australian model by the name of Megan Gale who will be a character in the remake.
