Trying to understand the fitbit calorie adjustment

Options
This year I'm trying to take weight loss seriously so I joined this and got a fitbit. At first I was just watching what I eat but yesterday I started exercising again. The other thing I started doing is adding in the negative calorie adjustment for fitbit. (I almost always exceed my food calories with fitbit activity but I figured I'd just turn it on).

OK so I'm alotted 2060 calories for the day.
Fitbit says that my projection is 2853
MFP says my projection is 2891

So my adjustment is -38.

What I don't understand is that if I'm allotted 2060 shouldn't the fitbit adjustment be based on the FB number minus 2060 since those are my "extra calories"? Or am I missing something?

Look at your home page, then goals.

Top right hand side it says calories from daily activity.

That is what MFP thinks you will burn each day.(excluding exercise).

The FB calories will be compared to those calories to make the adjustment.

Thanks. I didn't see those numbers. That makes sense.
