Having a fever of 103 f last two nights

I was shivering and sweating so much the last two nights in my bed (not in a fun way). How many calories do you think we burn when we are that sick? I do not even sweat that much at the gym or when i am playing sports.

that's your question? really? how delirious are you? O.O

please drink plenty of fluids. you might need some gatorade-type stuff.

is this your only symptom? or do you also have vomiting/diarrhea? if you do, you definitely have to worry about dehydration.

do not work out when you feel like this. try not to go out in public, because you could be contagious.

i have no idea about the calories. sorry i can't help with that.

if these symptoms persist, you might want to consider calling your doctor.

    hope you feel better soon!
  • I have a sore throat and a fever but while i was entering my food i just had an errant thought. I am home not working so i dont infect anyone. I was up last night thinking that if i want to lose weight forget going to the gym and busting my *kitten* there. Just get sick and sweat it out in the comfort of my own bed.

well, i don't know how many calories a fever burns, but i do know that sick people do lose weight from it. unfortunately, a prolonged fever will cause you to lose muscle.

if you have a sore throat, you really need to go see the dr. and get checked for strep throat. if you have strep, you need antibiotics in order to treat the infection and prevent possible complications like rheumatic fever or scarlet fever.

i am glad you are recuperating at home. if i were your mother i would make you some chicken soup. low calorie, of course!

    God bless.

You are very sweet thanks. I am feeling much better today. Resting at home really did the trick.
